Creating a woodland themed baby shower, bedroom, or classroom has never been so easy with these fun and easy DIY woodland felt animals! There are so many different ways that you can use these felt woodland creatures in your classroom or for your next event! I can’t wait to use these felt DIY woodland animals to decorate fabric bins for my classroom reading groups. Let’s grab our supplies and let’s get started!

You Will Need:

• 9″ x 12” craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt™ in Peacock, Pumpkin Spice, Red, White, Black, Brown, Cashmere Tan, and Sandstone
• 9” x 12” craft cut of Kunin Corduroy™ in Candy Pink and Sandstone
• Scissors
• Adhesive
• White cardstock
• Ellison Superstar Machine
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Glasses Item #A10682 (Optional)
• Sizzix Bigz Die – Mustaches Item #A11030 (Optional)

Using a variety of colors of 9″ x 12” craft cuts Kunin Classicfelt™ and Kunin Corduroy™ felt, creating felt woodland animals is easy! You can also use your Ellison Superstar Machine with a number of Ellison dies to add accessories to your woodland animals, too! I used the Sizzix Bigz Die – Glasses Item #A10682 die and the Sizzix Bigz Die – Mustaches Item #A11030 die to give my woodland creatures a fun and edgy look.

To create your woodland creatures, use a pen or permanent marker to draw your outline template onto a piece of white cardstock. Cut out your template and trace it onto a piece of felt in the desired color. You can also purchase any woodland clipart set, print it out, and cut it out as a template for your woodland felt animals.

After preparing your design and using a variety of colors of Kunin Felt, prepare each woodland creature for assembly.

Using adhesive, glue your felt woodland animal together. For a strong hold, I recommend using hot glue. However, if you are making a kid’s craft, I recommend using any type of tacky glue or felt glue for this project.

These felt woodland animals are perfect for decorating any storage fabric bin. These are perfect for labeling reading groups, decorating a bedroom, or for planning a baby shower. The possibilities are endless with these fun felt woodland animals!
