Welcome back to the Kunin Felt Classroom! The inspiration continues as we collaborate with Eileen Hull and her very talented Design Team for the entire month of May. Eileen has a new die collection with Sizzix. Eileen’s Heartfelt Sizzix Collection, what better way to celebrate the release than a month full of designs using Kunin felt!

Today we are sharing a couple more of the very creative projects from Eileen’s Design Team. How pretty is this card and envelope above by Julia Hurll Aston! The contrasting blanket stitch really accents the envelope. The Stitchlit die has the stitch holes and this enables you to make perfect even stitches easily.

Anne Redfern made this pretty butterfly passport book holder. For the full tutorials on these projects visit Eileen’s blog.  Eileen gives lots of tips and tricks on using the dies with our felt and on Thursday she has a Facebook Live coming up sharing these tips. You can follow along with her. Last week she also talked about working with felt and the dies. This FB Live is on our Kunin Facebook page as well as Eileen’s page.

I have had so much fun trying out Eileen’s journal die and I also used her flower and leaf dies to create my Felt Kitty Journal. You can make your own, check out my tutorial here! We will continue to showcase designs from Eileen Hull’s Design Team for the remainder of May so please stop by and check it out.

TIP: When die cutting felt, run through machine a couple of times. Use a metal plate and clean out embedded fibers regularly.

You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin® Classicfelt; Kunin® Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.

Thank you for stopping by the Kunin Classroom. Next week Chad Boender aka The Male Kindergarten Teacher will be sharing a Father’s Day craft you can make with the kids!

Happy crafting!
Debra
