Hi, Alison Osborn here, with some more holiday fun. One of my favorite traditions for Thanksgiving is baking pumpkin pies and today I’ll like to serve up a simple pumpkin pie banner using Kunin Classic felts.

Supplies:

  • 9″ x 12″ craft cuts of Kunin Classicfelt™ in Walnut, Goldenrod and Antique White
  • Glue gun and scissors

To start, I sketched and cut a pie shape out of paper to use as a template. The size I used was 8 in. for each side and 7 in. for the top. I then traced and cut 7 pie shapes out of the Goldenrod felt.

Next using the Walnut felt I cut 7 – 7×3 in. strips, folded them in half and secured the edge with glue. Then I fringed the looped edge with scissors to form the piecrust.

For the dollop of whipped cream I used my Sizzix Flower Layers 12 Bigz Die to cut out 6 flower shapes. I then folded each petal shape in half and then in half again, securing the two sides together with hot glue. I did this to all 6 flower shapes. Once done, I glued four folded petals together for the base of the flower. I cut off the tips of the two remaining petals and glued them onto the center of the base.

I then glued the pie shapes to the crust, trimmed off and extra edges from the sides. Then I hot glued the whipped cream to the center of the pie. For addition flare I glued a ribbon to the top.
