Felt Flower Pillows

LB April Hop 1

I’m lucky enough to share my project for the afternoon. It’s become a bit of a tradition to have a “cocktail hour” at our house on weekend afternoons. I set-up the patio with pretty pillows, make fun drink (mocktails for the little one), and set out some snacks. We come together as a family to talk about life and maybe play a quick game of Scrabble. It’s something we all look forward to on the weekends.

One of the best ways to make our time together on the patio special is to make the seating area as pretty and comfortable as possible, so I created some bright & beautiful pillows.

This is a really simple project! I love to make envelope pillows so that I can switch out the colors and designs for each season. To make an envelope pillow, see my tutorial here: http://laurabraydesigns.com/vacation-photo-pillow.

If you want to make a fancy, flower pillow, simply use embroidery floss to stitch some felt flower, die cut shapes onto the front piece before you sew the pillow together. Easy, peasy, right?

You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin Eco-fi Classicfelt; Eco-fiPlus™ Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.

Thank you for stopping by!
