Felt isn’t just for sewing projects! You can embellish just about anything with felt. One of my favorite felt embellishments to use is felt flowers. I’ve got a couple of video tutorials today to show you how to create felt flowers.
Supplies:
- Eco-fi Plus™ Premium Felt in the colors of your choice. (You can now find an expanded color line of Kunin Eco-fi Classicfelt; Eco-fiPlus™ Premiumfelt and ShaggiChic non-wovens fabrics in cut by the yard at your local Walmart; please inquire as to what is available in your area.)
- Embroidery thread to match the felt.
- Basic sewing supplies.
- Buttons for flower centers.

Once you have your flowers created there’s no end to what you can use them for. I used both styles to great a dreamy, Provence-style menu board. I simply painted a wood board with acrylic and chalkboard paints, stenciled it, then glued a large, felt flower at the top of the board, and a few of the felt flower buds at the bottom. Wouldn’t it be cute on an Easter buffet?
Here’s a bonus project-make a little felt eraser for Menu Blackboard-you can get the tutorial here.
