I live in Florida and we do not have Fall.  The year round sunshine is a wonderful thing, but I still miss certain things about Fall.  The crisp air, the apple picking and the leaves changing from green to gorgeous shades of red, burgundy, yellow and orange are the activities that I yearn for the most, so I have created this wreath to decorate my front door to remind me of Fall – and give a bit of Southern attitude!

Materials:

• 9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ in Olive (1), Walnut Brown (1), Gold (1), Ruby (1), Orange (1), Goldenrod (1). https://www.kuninfelt.com/fabrics-collections/rainbow-classicfelt/
• 36” wide bolts Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ in Peacock Blue (1 yard). https://www.kuninfelt.com/fabrics-collections/rainbow-classicfelt/
• Straw Wreath 12”, Raffia Wrapped Coiled Wire, USA * General’s Scribe-All * All Surface Pencil in White, Ruler, Scissors, Wire Cutters, Brown Letter Stickers ½”, Straight Pins, Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue Sticks.

Instructions:

1.) Measure and cut twenty strips 1” wide by 36” long from Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ Peacock Blue.  Start by attaching the first strip with hot glue and straight pins, then wrap the strip, overlapping as you go.  Secure opposite end with hot glue and straight pins.  Repeat these steps until the entire wreath is covered.

2.) Measure and cut raffia wrapped coiled wire into six lengths 32” and two lengths 40”.  Bend in half, twist then curl spirals at the ends.

3.) Hot glue twisted wires to bottom front of the wreath, keeping the 2 longer sections in the middle and 3 shorter sections on either side.  Bend and position, until you are pleased with the placement and shape of the branches.

4.) Hand cut 12 leaves from each Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ Walnut Brown, Gold, Ruby, Orange, Goldenrod.

5.) Hot glue leaves on to branches, one color at a time, staring with the darkest color Walnut Brown and ending with the lightest color Gold.  Step back and fill in colors as necessary.

6.) Measure and cut one rectangle of Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ Olive 1 ¼” wide by 12” long.  Fishtail the ends.  Find the center and place ½” dark brown letter stickers to spell HAPPY FALL Y’ALL!  TIP: If you are going to place this wreath outside, please attach the letter stickers with a liquid glue like Beacon Adhesives Felt Glue.  Fold felt under securing with hot glue, then over securing with hot glue to create ribbon banner.  Attach to front center of wreath to cover bottom of tree.
