New Year's Eve Banner

We always have a big house party with fireworks to celebrate New Year’s Eve, so I thought that I would incorporate those fireworks into my banner for the mantel. The already stiff Friendlyfelt makes a great base for a banner, is easy to cut and already has a sparkly finish!

Materials:

9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Rainbow Classicfelt™ in Aqua (2) and Silver Grey (2)
9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Glitterfelt™ in White (2)
9” x 12” craft cuts Kunin™ Eco-Fi™ Friendlyfelt™ in Black Glitter (3)
Ranger Ink Stickles™ Glitter Glue in Silver and Star Dust
Silver sparkle Pom Poms (8); chipboard numbers “2015”; 3D foam adhesive; jumbo white rick rack (60″); scissors; pinking shears; pencil; ruler; glue gun and glue sticks; 3″ circle template.

Instructions:

1.) Measure and cut both Black Glitter Friendlyfelt™ sheets in half along the 9” width. Measure and mark 2” up along 12” length and centered along the 9” width. Draw diagonal lines out from the center to both bottom corners, then cut out triangles to form the pennant shape. Measure eight 1” wide strips on Aqua Rainbow Classicfelt™, cut with pinking shears. Attach Aqua strips to back of each pennant along the 12” lengths with Glue Gun, let set.

2.) Measure and cut four 4” by 4” squares from White Glitterfelt™, Aqua and Silver Grey Rainbow Classicfelt™. Create fringe by cutting 3” long slits in each square. Attach Silver Grey, then Aqua, then White Glitter fringe sections in a circle in the center of each pennant with Glue Gun. Set something heavy on top and let set.

3.) Trace and cut four 3” circles from Black Glitter Friendlyfelt™ with pinking shears. Attach to center of each firework with Glue Gun and outline in Silver Stickles, let dry. Attach 2-0-1-5 chipboard numbers to center of each circle with 3D foam adhesive and Glue Gun. Apply even layer of Star Dust Stickles to each number, let dry.
