July 4th Crafty Celebrations

BW FIREWORKS BANNER 9 JUNE 12

This is a special week of celebrating and crafting! Today July 1st is Canada’s birthday and of course July 4th America celebrates. Beth Watson’s Fireworks Banner is one of my very favourite USA 4th crafts. It is bold and bright and proclaims with colorful pride I love my country!

All over the web there are hundreds of crafty and DIY projects to create for the 4th. I have collected a few of my favourite felt designs on a Pinterest Board. (http://www.pinterest.com/kuningroupgeorg/july-4th-felt-crafts/) There is still time to make a few before the 4th. The felt popsicles in red, white and blue are so fun and make a colorful centerpiece. Bonus, they won’t melt!

This week we reflect on what it means to be an American. To honor those who serve and protect, to gather with family and friends and celebrate being together.
