Creative People

I am very fortunate to know and work with many creative people. One of my very favourites is Laura Kelly Walters at www.laurakellydesigns.com. We got to spend some time together at CHA, the Craft and Hobby Show www.craftandhobby.org in Anaheim. Always with a big smile, bubbly energy and taking selfies with everyone plus all the activity she had going on in the Rit Dye Makerspace! She is as colourful and fun as her artwork; a licensed artist of Me and My Peeps line, on the Sharpie Squad and the Resident Dye-signer for The Rit Studio in 2013 plus much more. She loves her job!

I love what Laura does with Kunin felt. Her blog post last week from her fabulously fun rainbow infused studio features a banner made from denim and a Rainbow Classic felt selection. Full instructions on her blog at www.laurakellydesigns.com/blog

Laura uses her creativity in all aspects of her life and with her children; they are always making something. She also volunteers in her community involving her children and stepchildren in giving back projects. They are featured in an article in the latest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors.

March is National Craft Month. The Craft and Hobby Association has begun a movement known as Cre8time, finding time to craft, sew, doodle, paint, and just make something. Getting together with friends or as a family, Cre8time is about bonding and having fun while making something, about making a difference in one life or many. Laura embodies what Cre8time is all about and her enthusiasm colors the world with creativity!

Can’t wait to see what she is up to next with Cre8time and Kunin Felt! Some big news coming! Cre8time! Debra
