‘Tis the Season of Peace

At this time of the year in many parts of North America the snow blankets the earth. It brings with it a quiet and peacefulness. The rough ground, pavement, and cluttered spaces become serenely covered in a white sparkling expanse stretching over the entire landscape. The beauty of this winter scene coincides with the Holiday Season and the beginning of a New Year. It is my favorite time of year, walking on a starlit night with a light snow falling, so beautiful. Two of my latest designs, which incorporate Smooth foam and Kunin felt have been inspired by this picturesque and peaceful season, a Snowbird and a Dove.

Smooth foam is a dense foam with a smooth finish to which the felt glues beautifully. Fabri-tac glue makes an almost instant bond. The birds consist of two balls. Full instructions for both projects can be found on the Smooth foam blog.
